PROJECT OVERVIEW
On average, meme style content EARNED 5x more users and earned 10x more shares than traditional posts.
I interned with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) for eight months as a Marketing and Communications Intern. Their social account was under a year old and struggled to connect with a younger audience. Sexual health content is inherently dry, and Gen Z wasn't engaging with it. I proposed a shift to meme-style content, translating public health data into something relatable, engaging, and funny.
DIRECTED PAID MEDIA BUDGET - EXPANDING REACH TO 20,000 NEW ACCOUNTS
PRESENTED ANALYTICS TO 200+ EMPLOYEES AT MONTHLY MEETINGS
TRACKED PERFORMANCE THROUGH META BUSINESS SUITE
RESULT - 40%+ ENGAGEMENT. MEME STYLE CONTENT IS STILL THE FOUNDATION OF THE ACCOUNT TODAY.
